Census special report on Married and unmarried households
In March, 2003, the Census Bureau finally released a long-awaited report on the ethnic compostion, age and percentage of households with children.

The ethic composition report is an improvement on Summary File 2, since in the new data, the race and ethnicity of the householder and of the partner are both revealed, although only at the national level.

• Race and ethnicity of female same-sex couples.
• Race and ethnicity of male same-sex couples.
• Percentage of sex couples with children in their households, nationwide and by state.
• Average age of same-sex couples, nationwide and by state.
