Index--->USA--->1990 Census results
1990 Census results for same-sex couples.
These figures cannot be compared to the 2000 Census results, because as the Census Bureau admits in a press release, "In 1990, the edit and allocation procedures did not allow same-sex "spouse" combinations to occur, thus resulting in the allocation of one of these two items in order to achieve editing consistency among the responses."
Therefore, the numbers were kept somewhat distant, and are not available from any of the Census table engines or quick facts sheets for 1990. However, if you want the information, you can download a text file here. Follow the instructions to parse and separate data.
